Bloodsugar Records is back “home”
In early 2009 “Bloodsugar Records” was established by Thomas Vitali for releasing classic lounge and chillout music.
Every stand-up is hard for a new founded company and so it was for Bloodsugar as well – to find solid partners and serious artists for working together on new and exclusive releases. It became more hard when several distributors did not setup profile pages and accept Bloodsugar’s catalogue (due the fact of too small number of releases and unknown artists featured on the label).
As consequence of that, the focus on Bloodsugar went down and in late 2009 an Israel company overtook Bloodsugar Records’ ownership for 100%.
In July 2011, Plusquam Records Labelgroup bought back all shares so that it is now again adminstrative and operative owner for 100%.
Thomas Vitali said: “It was a hard struggle to get it back “home” – but it is worthy to do so with all its efforts because with Bloodsugar Records we have our own slice of lounge/chillout music reportoire inside the group.”
